This graph shows the amount of time spent reading or writing to and from the disk. Note that this is not the same as I/O wait (see CPU Usage Graph for more information on I/O Wait). In other words, this is regardless of whether or not the system was able to find something else to do while the drive was being read or written to. Even so, very high read or write times may indicate that the disk may be becomming a bottleneck on the system.
